STOP. THINK. INNOVATE YOUR BUSINESS.
Why employing persons with disabilities/disadvantages could possibly help your business.
The 7th Workforce Champion Series (WCS) was successfully concluded at Singapore’s very first hawker training school for the disabled and disadvantaged – Dignity Kitchen. Dignity Kitchen was set up in October 2010 with a passion in preserving the local heritage of hawker food and a vision to help persons with disabilities and disadvantages find work opportunities for a better future.
Dignity Kitchen operates as a fully functional, regular food court that is open to the public and we were privileged to have the opportunity of looking into how Dignity Kitchen works at creating and maintaining a Singaporean Core.
While it is true that many employers would have second thoughts about hiring individuals who are disabled or disadvantaged, we were also able to find some very distinct advantages if we were to embrace these very special individuals in our workplace.
In the midst of a fast-paced environment, it helps employers to stop, to think and to innovate their businesses.
